Job Title: School-Based Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: Kent, WA AreaSchool Year: 2024-2025Employment Type: Full-Time (37.5-Hours/Week), Onsite Pay Scale: $40-47/hour Caseloads: Preschool/Elementary School, Itinerant Responsibilities:

Assess and respond to students' health concerns, injuries, and illnesses promptly, providing appropriate care and referrals as needed.
Develop and implement individualized healthcare plans for students with specific medical needs, in collaboration with parents/guardians and other healthcare providers.
Maintain accurate and confidential health records, including immunization records, health assessments, and documentation of healthcare services provided.
Educate students, parents, and staff on health-related topics, including preventive care, hygiene practices, and emergency procedures.
Provide accommodations for students with disabilities as needed per school's requirements
Assist students with transportation to and from school as needed

Qualifications:

Valid RN license in WA
Bachelor's or Associate's degree in nursing from an accredited university
Experience working as a nurse in a school, pediatric, or related healthcare setting (experience in an educational setting required).
Experience with disability accommodations (i.e. G-tube, trach, and seizure monitoring accommodations) preferred
Strong clinical skills, including first aid, medication administration, and assessment of common childhood illnesses and injuries.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with students, parents, and staff members.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Must be comfortable with bus riding
Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs
